If you understand that medical advice given via email is meant ONLY to stimulate further discussion between you and your doctor, and IS NOT MEANT TO BE USED FOR SELF-TREATMENT, OR TO REPLACE A TRIP TO YOUR DOCTOR, then click here.
If, on the other hand, you intend to use this advice to self-treat, or as an excuse to avoid visiting your doctor, then click here.
Before mailing a question, you need to search this site, as your question has probably already been answered. Use the search function below (scroll down).
If I do not respond to your email, please do not take offense. I have a busy practice and I only respond to emails when I have the time, energy and inclination; currently (2005), I answer less than 1 out of 10 letters.
I routinely DO NOT respond to (or read) emailed questions which are:
Clearly motivated by a desire to avoid a trip to the doctor (in which case, you need to visit this site).
Emails written with impossible-to-read fonts, text colors, backgrounds, etc.
Lengthy descriptions of symptoms. I am NOT going to diagnose you via email.
Questions that have already been answered on this site (often in great detail). Use the search function.
Emails marked 'urgent' or 'high priority'
Litigious questions (i.e., it's clear that you are thinking of suing your doctor; you need a lawyer, not me).
I DO answer questions which are brief and factual in nature.
Whoo! Enough of that. If you have a question, please proceed to THIS PAGE.
